On this Mother's Day 2023, we were able to visit Qi Yuan Care in Malacca to provide free eye screening! We also provided one-on-one consultation by our registered Optometrists to those attended so that they can gain a deeper understanding of the critical vision conditions of cataract, glaucoma, dry eyes, and more. We are thankful for this opportunity.

On the 4^th of May 2023, in conjunction with Wesak Day, we were invited to the Kwan Inn Teng Temple to provide comprehensive eye screening for free to the public. In this event, we also provide one-on-one consultation by Optometrists after each eye screening, so that the public can gain an in-depth understanding of cataracts, glaucoma, dry eyes, and other vision issues.

At Focus Point, 360° APEC is the first line primary vision care and promotes overall eye health in patients of all ages. Our professional Optometrists are trained to provide comprehensive eye health assessment, refractions (measurement of spectacle prescription) and contact lens fitting. APEC can change lives. 

Since the MOU Signing Ceremony between Focus Point Vision Care Group and UCSI University, we have been working very closely together. In conjunction with World Optometry Day on the 23^rd March 2023, we had an exclusive collaboration with School of Optometry, UCSI University to provide FREE comprehensive eye screening to the students, staff, and the public.

An optometrist not only helps you see clearly and detects signs of eye disease, but also assesses how well your visual system – which encompasses the eyes, brain, and eye muscles – work.

Following our great effort of providing free comprehensive eye screening through our World Sight Day awareness campaign for the past 11 years, this year we have launched the 360° Advanced Primary Eye Care (APEC) Campaign to encourage individuals to prioritize their eye health while advocating for accessible, affordable, and available eye care for Malaysians. Focus Point’s 360° APEC is the first line primary vision care and promotes overall eye health in patients of all ages.

Focus Point has been continuously organizing blood donation campaign for more than 10 years. On the 18th of February 2023, we had a Focus Point Blood Donation Drive, an initiative by Focus Point Caring Hearts Charity Foundation. We collaborated with St. John Ambulans Malaysia - Kawasan Selangor Tengah Utara - SJAM KSTU, and it was held at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara. 

According to the Malaysian Optical Council 2022, the Optometrist-to-population ratio is 1 to 15,147. Therefore, Focus Point as Malaysia's leading optical chain company, we understand the importance of nurturing Optometrists and the crucial role of registered and qualified Optometrists. We are honored to be able to collaborate with UCSI University by offering an interest-free student loan to undergraduates pursuing Bachelor of Optometry.
