In 2021, due to the government’s social distancing mandate and SOP, community engagement efforts were constrained throughout the pandemic. Despite the problems we have experienced, Focus Point have taken good initiative by giving complementary eye examination and providing more than 500 pairs of eyeglasses to children who require them. We have supported Vision Awareness Project 2021 organized by Lions Club of Penang Rising Star on March 2021 and more than 70 pairs of eyewear had been sponsored to the children in need of vision care.
We founded Focus Point Caring Hearts Charity Foundation in 2007 to initiate CSR Campaigns. Driven by the motto “Together, We Make a Difference”, the Foundation has continuously participated in numerous charitable and fund-raising such as World Sight Day, blood donation campaigns, eye screening projects for students, charitable home visitation, and support for several beneficiaries each year. At its core, raising awareness of eyecare and myopia control is of utmost importance, and we are not just doing this will all our customers and partners but also for the community we are in!

Children nowadays seems to be getting less play time outdoors and instead spend more time indoors using digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops or LED television. These digital devices usage is becoming a norm in our children’s lives, such as attending online classes or watching their favourite videos.
