Generally, cornea is the outermost transparent and protective dome shaped surface of our eyes. Thanks to its transparent nature, we are able to see this wonderful world. Corneal topographer is the instrument which helps to take a full detailed mapping of the corneal curvature and it is done in a painless and non-invasive way. It plays an essential role in planning intraocular lens implantation in cataract surgery, planning laser vision correction (LASIK), and contact lens fitting especially in orthokeratology (ortho-k) contact lens.
