Focus Point Caring Hearts Charity Foundation Launches “Focus4Sight” School Vision Program

In Collaboration with Lions Club KL North – Bringing Clearer Vision and Brighter Futures to B40 Students

Kuala Lumpur, July 7, 2025 – In a heartfelt move to uplift local communities through better access to eye care, Focus Point Caring Hearts Charity Foundation, the charitable arm of Focus Point Vision Care Group Sdn Bhd, has officially launched the Focus4Sight School Vision Program, in collaboration with Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur North.

About the Focus4Sight School Vision Program

The Focus4Sight School Vision Program is designed to support underprivileged (B40) students in government primary schools by providing essential vision care services, directly at their schools. This initiative goes beyond short-term aid. It is part of a broader vision by Focus Point Caring Hearts to create lasting, meaningful partnerships with NGOs and corporate entities to deliver sustainable, inclusive impact in the areas of education and healthcare.

A Collaboration of Purpose

The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on July 7, 2025, and witnessed by Yang Berhormat Tuan P. Prabakaran, Member of Parliament for Batu. We are especially honoured to have YB Prabakaran lend his support to this initiative, and even more meaningful, one of the first schools to benefit from the program is located within his constituency.

What’s Ahead:

From July to October 2025, the program will deliver on-site eye screenings at a minimum of eight (8) government primary schools, using Focus Point’s state-of-the-art Mobile Optical Screening (MOS) truck. Students diagnosed with vision issues will receive free spectacles, with the program targeting up to 1,000 pairs.

Dato' Liaw Choon Liang, Trustee of Focus Point Caring Hearts Charity Foundation, added, "a better future begins with a clearer vision. We are giving children the chance to fully participate in the classroom, to rediscover confidence and to chase their dreams without limits. When we work together with a shared vision and a united heart, we are not just solving problems for today, we are building a more sustainable, inclusive and caring community for generations to come."

"We are incredibly excited to embark on this vital journey with Focus Point Caring Hearts Charity Foundation," said Ms. Carmen Siah Mun Yee, President of Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur North. "Poor vision can significantly impede a child's learning and overall development. Through this program, we aim to identify and address vision impairments early, ensuring that more underprivileged students have the opportunity to succeed in their education and lead healthier lives. This initiative truly embodies our commitment to serving our community's most vulnerable."

More Than a Program – A Movement

This isn’t just a corporate social responsibility effort. It’s a movement, a call to action for the wider community, corporations, and NGOs to come together and support children where it matters most: their health, their education, and their confidence to thrive. With Focus4Sight, Focus Point Caring Hearts Charity Foundation is planting the seeds for a more inclusive, equitable, and healthier future, one child at a time.

Stay connected with us for updates, school visit highlights, and inspiring stories from the field. Let’s build a future where every child can see clearly — and dream boldly.
