On a bright Sunday morning in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, something truly remarkable took place. The city burst with energy, laughter, and purpose as hundreds of people gathered at GMBB to embark on an adventure that went far beyond competition. It was not just a race, but a journey of empathy and awareness, the Amazing Charity Hunt for Sight 2025, held in conjunction with World Sight Day.
Organized by Dialogue in the Dark Malaysia with the support of Think City, the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology, the Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur Dynamics, and Gofluence, the event brought together people from all walks of life to experience what it really means to see beyond vision.
Participants were grouped into teams and given clues that led them across five iconic landmarks in Kuala Lumpur. Along the way, they solved puzzles, completed challenges, and uncovered new perspectives about teamwork, resilience, and trust. What made this journey truly special was the inclusion of a visually impaired or blindfolded participant in every team, giving others the opportunity to step briefly into the world of those who perceive life differently. Every step became an act of shared trust, connection, and understanding.
Focus Point Vision Care Group was proud to participate as the Gold Sponsor, with two spirited teams, FOCUS Force Team 1 and FOCUS Force Team 2, made up of ten enthusiastic colleagues from our headquarters. For us, it was not just about the thrill of the race. It was a reminder of why we do what we do. It was about connection, compassion, and witnessing how meaningful our work becomes when guided by purpose.

As we cheered on our teams navigating each challenge, hand in hand and voice by voice, we saw the core values of Focus Point reflected in every moment. Empathy, teamwork, and shared vision came alive in the streets of Kuala Lumpur. Beyond offering eye care, we believe in creating awareness, inspiring action, and helping others discover the true value of sight.

As the day ended back at GMBB, participants gathered with smiles, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose. It was a reminder that every effort, no matter how small, can brighten someone’s world.
The race has ended, but the journey toward greater empathy, inclusion, and vision has only just begun.
Together, we move forward, seeing not only with our eyes, but with our hearts.
